Why register at Alpaca Register Europe?

In an ever more globalized world in which everybody is connected through E-mail, mobile phone and other means of communication, we might as well consider us all neighbours. This is exactly why we are convinced that a registration on a European level is becoming essential to manage the continuously rising popularity of alpacas. In order to make sure that the information published is trustworthy we decided to use DNA and parental verification to complete a registration.

In addition, animals from other breeding books can be easily integrated into our system. We also believe that both professional breeders, amateur breeders and interested visitors in general should have the chance to consult the databank. Our registration data is NOT a member-only privilege.

By realizing this project, we create an easy possibility for everyone to certify his or her animals. This includes a GIFT wool test to map the genetic specifications/properties of the animals in a positive way.

We also have a forum which will enable you to exchange views with other breeders and/or amateurs.

For whom is this system meant?

You can personally become a member of our  BAF/FBA and have the opportunity to register your animals but we would also gladly co-operate with existing organizations supporting the idea to create a global and uniform system. Many organizations have already expressed their interest to participate in such a project.

Finally, it goes without saying that other organizations can count on an individualized service best fitting their needs in case the above-mentioned possibilities do not prove to be adequate.
